Every August, Atlanta's elite come together in the name of high-end fashion to raise money ($800,000 was raised in 2013!) for the Atlanta AIDS Fund and Susan G. Komen for the Cure's Greater Atlanta Affiliate at Jeffrey Fashion Cares.
Atlanta's most prestigious social event of the season, Jeffrey Fashion Cares is an annual extravaganza founded in 1992 by Jeffrey Kalinsky, who is the creator of two namesake boutiques in Buckhead Atlanta & Meatpacking Manhattan and is also the VP of Designer Fashion at Nordstrom; the Event Chairs are Lila Hertz, Jeffrey McQuithy and Louise Sams.
Jeffrey Fashion Cares closes out the fashion year and kicks off the fall social season with a live auction and a runway show with womenswear designs handpicked by Jeffrey himself. Designers featured include Lanvin, Celine, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Erdem, Dries Van Noten, Saint Laurent Paris, Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik.
