Fashion Week is upon us!
From New York to London to Milan to Paris, your favorite models, bloggers, fashion editors and celebrities storm the streets to get a peak of next season's emerging trends and premier designs. It gets rough going from show to show to luncheon to presentation to show to after party to after-after party while still looking the part, incorporating wardrobe & makeup changes and actually getting work done. We sat down with Rosa Thurnher & Regina Weird (founders of Factory Girls) in Atlanta and they gave us incite on how they survive fashion week.
ITEMS TO HELP YOU SURVIVE FASHION WEEK
Headphones: For the little idle time you do have, it's always good to throw on your headphones during your taxi ride, flight or waiting for your partner in crime.
Chanel Lipstick: Because a woman should never leave the house without it. Always bring two colors so you can change from day to night. [ Fluff suggest Gabrielle & Vera tones ;-) ]
Comfortable Shoes: You will really appreciate bringing a pair of comfortable shoes to travel in; Rosa prefers Air Max while Regina toughs it out in heels. They both agree, never change in front of the venue, always go around the corner ;-)
Gum/Mints: Fresh breath is critical because you are always talking to people.
Phone: Of course you need your phone to lock in new contacts, take selfies and share your journey with your followers. Fashion GPS, Uber, Spotify, Style.com, WWD are MUST-HAVE apps to really maximize your week!
Business Cards: Some people do not like business cards, but it is still good to own them because a lot of people still appreciate them (the cool cards anyway!) "You don't always want to give everyone your personal number so having business cards is a way to share your alternative contact information," says Rosa. You can also make a lasting impression on a new person by passing off something tangible & chic.
