Indique Cares partnered with the NBMBAA to provide a special package which included a $1000 scholarship and an Indique makeover valued at over $800. Originally from Long Beach, California, recipient Empress Varnado is currently pursuing her MS in Media Managemnet with a concentration in Urban Studies at The New School and aspires to eliminate the lack of diversity in front and behind the camera within the television and film industries.

Indique prepped Empress for and proudly presented her with the award at the NBMBAA Metro NY Chapter's 23rd Annual Scholarship & Awards Gala on Thursday, November 21, 2013. Empress' hair was styled by our resident Indique Expert and is wearing our PURE Curly in 16" & 20" . Her makeup was provided by Indique Expert Ashley Stewart.
