Get A Bouncy Blowout

Yes, you can get a smooth, voluminous salon-worthy look right at home!
Here are some steps on how to get your bouncy blowout:

1. After you have washed your hair apply a conditioning primer spray from roots to end.
2. Using your fingers, dry your hair until its damp. But focus mainly on the roots. If you have curly hair you can skip this step.
3. Starting at the nape of your neck and working up, blow-dry your hair in 2 sections: Wrap each a round brush and bend ends under for movement.
4. Roll sections of hair into loops after blow drying. Be sure to secure them with clips and let them cool before unclipping.
5. For face-framing sections, hold the brush vertically and roll in as you blow-dry. Then remove the clips and tousle with fingers.
After following these steps, your blowout should be bouncy and voluminous!

Heatless Blending Methods

We know that one of the biggest challenges for some of our Curlfriends is blending curly extensions with hair to create a natural-looking style without using heat styling tools. Here are a few ways to achieve that flawless finish on your curly install! 

For more heavily textured hair, you may want to try a braid out or a twist out  or a bantu knot out that incorporates both your natural hair and the extensions. The most important part about blending your leave out with your extensions is making sure that both of the curl patterns are identical.  You can also use flexi-rods for a looser curly style!

BET Experience Weekend with Indique LA

We had some special visitors this week for the BET festivities. Charli Balitmore came in the store with her entourage to look at Hysteria 22" color 613. Antonique Smith is shown shooting her new new short film wearing a Studio Fishnet 16". Tea is posted up in the LA boutique smiling cheerfully, wearing Pure Wavy 16" & 18" with a 12" closure. Angel is wearing a combination of Coil Curl, Deep Wave and Pure curly in various lengths, two great protective style for summer.

On Saturday June 28th, Indique LA manager Tea and PSP Stylist Lee (pictured in black) attended the BET Experince Gifting suite to mix and mingle with guests and spread the word about Indique. It was an exceptional opportunity for us to place our products and information directly in the hands of celebrities and trend-setters.

The Deanna Jefferson Fitness Experience, led by Nike celebrity trainer, was full of surprises. The room was full of ladies and gentlemen ready to sweat and learn new techniques for a great workout. There were vendors sharing products, information and even giving massages. At the event were trainers, some celebrities (Karruchae and Dawn from Danity Kane) as well as the participants who worked very hard. Throughout the event, the trainers encouraged all that worked out as the DJ mixed energetic music and NicoleThePole demonstrated an alternative workout on a pole. T
