1st Annual Caribbean Achievement Awards
Natural hair guru and stylist to Erykah Badu, Isis Brantley spoke at the 1st Annual Caribbean Achievement Awards last week. This award show, unlike any other was put together by the community organization Houston Caribbean Achievements to highlight and acknowledge the annual achievements of members of the Caribbean community.
Isis is wearing a custom wig, created especially for her by Joyce from our SoHo location using 4 tubes of Bounce Organic Curl 18" and she looked absolutely stunning! Check out some photos from the event. Isis was joined by our Houston boutique manager, Tracelia. Tracelia is wearing 2 tubes of PURE Curly 16".
How to: Reuse Wefted Hair For Multiple iInstalls
1. Avoid sewing through the wefts or cutting them. If your stylist's insists on cutting the wefts, be sure to seal the wefts before installation.
2. While wearing the hair, perform the proper maintenance to ensure that it will last you at least a year. This means washing your hair with sulfate free products 1-2 times a week and keeping your hair hydrated.
3. Roll, wrap, braid or twist your hair before bed so that it doesn't tangle.
4. When you're ready to take your install out be sure not to cut the wefts.
5. Immediately wash and condition the hair after it is removed. Let the hair air dry before you store it in your Indique tube.

New Year's Hair Resolution
It's a new year and I'm sure you've made countless resolutions in efforts to make 2014 better than the last. Don't forget about your mane in the process. Here are some great hair resolutions:
1. Moisturize, Moisturize & Moisturize
Especially during the dry winter months, don't leave your hair high and dry. Our French Argan Oil is great to use on your hair and scalp without weighing it down.
2. What the doctor ordered
Your biweekly hair appointment are just as important as your doctor or dentist appointments. You will notice that you will have healthier and fuller hair and be able to treat any damage before it's even visible. Don't wait until your hair is falling out or breaking to see your beautician.
3. Make the cut
You should be trimming your ends every 6-8 weeks. Don't avoid this just because you don't want to sacrifice your length; you're only making it worst.
