Mally Beauty City Chick Nude Lip Kit

One makeup trick that women spend so much time to perfect is the nude lip. Everyone is always on the hunt to find the shade that once applied, it looks as though it was custom-blended just for them.

The search is over.

I ALWAYS sing the praises of the Mally Beauty City Chick Nude Lip kit. It comes in two shades, Nude Light or Nude Dark and with a double ended pencil. One side of the pencil cancels out the color of your lip, and the other side lines. Add the gloss, and you’re done! No more needing to mix a liner, a lipstick, and a gloss…the search is over!

Thank me later…

Indique Queens: Winter Wish List!

Recently celebrities like Beyonce and June Ambrose have been seen skating around the city in their lace-up beauties. Designers like Alain Quilici and Dsquared carry these Skate Lace-Up Booties. Beyonce’s unique-looking shoes have a 5-inch heel and retail for $1,180. This bootie is unique because the heel and toe are bridged by a one-inch platform creating the look of  ice skates. These cutesy heels are top on my Winter wishlist!

Get the Tracee Ellis Ross Look!

Hi ladies, so we have been receiving tons of questions on how to achieve the “Tracee Ellis Ross” look. She is known for the two looks below:

This look can be achieved with Indique Hair’s PURE Curly. If you blow dry your hair and apply sponge rollers at night, the next morning you will have this effortless look. You can also have your stylist do a “wash & set” to get the same look.

This iconic look can be achieved with the BOUNCE collection Coil Curl. Simply allow your hair to air dry and finger tease the curls into the shape that you want. You can also use an Amika Clip Free Curler and get the first look by taking sections of your hair and twirling it. The BOUNCE Coil Curl will give you both of Tracee’s looks!

Brow Love!

How often do you go to your favorite spa and spend several minutes trying to decide on the perfect brow shape? I was born with super thick eye brows and have always had the hardest time taming them! Today, I read some great news on Elle.com. Not only have thick brows made a come back, but they are the must have for this holiday season. The ladies of Elle.com referenced Marilyn Monroe, Jennifer Lopez,  Kim Kardashian and Sophia Loren as great Hollywood “brow” references. Look Below for more beauty references.

What is the ONE beauty item you cannot live without?!

Krista:

I believe I look better with a glow, so that’s why I can’t live without my NARS-Laguna Bronzer/Orgasm Blush Combo.  NARS’ bronzer looks great on any skin color and creates an illusion of a flawless tan without the work of a tanning bed.

Kristen:

Hands down my Makeup Forever HD Foundation, its’ honestly heaven it a bottle. I’m usually a die-hard MAC fan but I happen to be in Sephora and picked up this one since I had run out of my MAC one. It makes my face look completely airbrushed and it goes on superlight. You can say I’m slightly obsessed!

Christina:

I could not live without my mascara.  People are always commenting on my eyes and lashes so those are the features I like to play up the most. One swipe really makes a difference in my overall look. I use two that are very affordable and in my opinion ‘drugstore gems’. I like Rimmel’s Glam Eyes for everyday wear. It lengthens and separates nicely and gives you a “doe-eyed” effect. At night I’ll usually layer the Rimmel with a few quick swipes of the classic Maybelline Great Lash for some added drama. I find it adds some nice volume and the small brush makes it easier to reach spots that a bigger brush might miss.

Golden Eye

Even with a bare face, gilded lids look fresh and put together. Give this look a try by going for a more bronze toned gold and keeping the rest of the face fairly neutral. Try Makeup Forever’s Aqua Cream eye shadow in gold for this look!

DATE NIGHT CERTIFIED: KETTA VAUGHN VEGAS LIPSTICK

Single, married, or in a relationship, Date Night is always something to look forward to.

Your outfit is head turning, hair is amazing, shoes are the latest…and you KNOW your makeup has to be on point.

There is nothing you need more than Ketta Vaughn Vegas lipstick! This shade of pink is the perfect complement to a “come hither” smoky eye, or just what you need with to add a “pop” to a pair of lashes. You can even adjust the color with your favorite lip liner/gloss combo. Either way, he won’t be able to take his eyes off of you.

Every night will be Date Night as long as you have this in your makeup bag…

Body Shop Coconut Body Butter

I am a sucker for skincare products. One look in the bathroom, and you will find eye creams of all descriptions, exfoliators, scrubs, masks, moisturizers, four different variations of baby oil…it’s an obsession.

But one thing you will always find, no matter the season, is The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter.

This body butter will have your skin soft all day! Its texture is light enough not to suffocate you in the Summer, but will be the perfect foundation before the cashmere and fur in the Winter. And its coconut scent always mixes well with musky, heavier perfume notes.

I promise you, you will fall in love…

MAC’s Paint Pot to the Rescue!

I am all for color on your eyes and having fun with makeup and I always use a shadow primer but I have recently discovered a new obsession…MAC’s paint pot in Painterly as a cream shadow itself, I use it all over my lid with a black liquid winged out liner and a fabulous lip shade and voila!

Style Survey: Indique Boston

The girls at Indique Boston share the best tips they’ve gotten for keeping their hair healthy and beautiful.

 Kristen:

“To keep hair shiny and color lasting longer, wash your hair in cooler water and blast it with ice cold water right before you get out of the shower.”

“I also use biosilk religiously especially after I shower. I let my hair air dry for about 10 minutes then apply the oil halfway down my hair avoiding the roots and let it sit then blow dry and style as normal.”

Christina:

I read somewhere that it’s actually best to condition your hair first and shampoo it after. Most people do it the other way around, but it makes a huge difference in the look and feel of your hair.”

“A lot of times the conditioner may not be completely washed out so shampooing afterwards ensures that all traces of product and any residue is removed. My hair is much more silky, shiny and manageable when I do this, and I get much less oil buildup between washes.”

Krista:

“I use Aquage products for my hair. My favorite is the Uplifting Foam to make my fine hair look extra full. It’s easy to use and doesn’t weigh down my hair. Afterwards I use their finishing spray, which is more of a light mist, to add shine.
